Pilot Goes Blue to Support World Bullying Prevention Day

Blue clothing could be seen across the multi-purpose room as students and staff gathered for a presentation given by former student, Allie Ingram. Thanks to her efforts, Pilot received a "Buddy Bench" today. This bench will be placed on the playground, and students can sit on it if they are looking for someone to play with. Other students can also join them on the bench, or invite them to join in their fun! The bench is designed to promote friendship, as well as eliminate loneliness and bullying.

Allie is the former Miss US NC Preteen, and currently holds the title of Miss District of Columbia Junior High America. Her platform is Anti-bullying, and she encouraged Pilot students, staff, and families to collect plastic caps and lids last year. Today, those efforts were rewarded as the bench was delivered to Pilot, just in time to help us support World Bullying Prevention Day! Thank you to Allie and everyone for your help and support!
