Mrs. Debbie Hege, Assistant Principal

Being born and raised in Davidson County makes me proud to say I am a product of Davidson County Schools! I am honored to be able to serve the same county I grew up in! Pilot School holds a special place in my heart as I have had many firsts here; student teaching and an assistant principalship. This is a wonderful community and I am delighted to be back at Pilot ready to work with you and your children. You have entrusted your most precious commodity, your children. Something I take seriously and know that when we work together as a team, we can help your children achieve great things.

After graduating from North Davidson Senior High, I worked in the business community for 10 years. While working full-time I worked to obtain my teaching license. Beginning my college career at DCCC, I transferred to High Point University where I received by bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. My years in the classroom as an elementary teacher still hold a special memories and some of my fondest times as an educator. I received National Board Certification in 2001. Seeing how I could make a difference to more students and families, I earned my Master's Degree in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. I have served DCS as an elementary teacher, elementary assistant principal, middle school assistant principal, and interim principal. Let me know if I can be of assistance to you. I am on campus Thursday and Friday and every other Wednesday. If you need me I can always be reached by phone (336) 472-7965 or email [email protected].

I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
